There are a few torches that can be easily seen. After following a few torches, You will reach a place where there are two lit torches nearby. This is considered a checkpoint. If you do not follow the correct path, The fog around you will get thickened and eventually cover you. If the fog covers you, you will get respawned at the checkpoint. Even though this seems a bit tricky, It can be easily completed by trial and error method.
Equip a torch and make your way towards the side of the lit torch on the left through the trees. slowly move and find if the fog thickens as you move. If the fog thickens, come back before it covers you and take another path. For a better idea consider checking your minimap. It will give you a rough idea of where to find the exit.
After you wander for a few minutes, if you are following the correct path, you will hear the sound of a shrine nearby. Follow along and you will reach the Korok forest.
