  1. Couchy Play is no longer supported. It cannot connect to Dropbox and they aren’t going to fix it.

    DriveCast does not run on Roku. It installs, but when you run the app, to pops up a “go to DriveCast to log in, then crashes.

    Roku Media Player works, but is very primitive.

    RoksBox is not free. I hesitate to pay for something when all other apps either suck or don’t work.

    MyMedia requires PlayOn. The desktop version of PlayOn is $35, and the cloud version is $20 for 150 recordings. Again, I think that is a little steep

  2. Plex works very well using your LAN over wifi but you have to have the media on a local device. Apple play now works very well too under the same conditions. It would be great if I could stream from one of my cloud storage areas instead of directly from a device.
