I’m astonished at the lack of functionality in these players. It seems to be good enough to play a music file. Only one of the reviewed players supports playlists which are absolutely essential when you get upwards of 5GB of music. But the only player that does support creating playlists consisting of music files on the cloud has an unbelievably clunky, complex interface requiring many unnecessary and time consuming clicks and scrolling between consecutive selections while creating a playlist. This “just enough” mentality leaves the door open for that app that will make these things easier and it will mop the floor with the competition. I write software too and well know that when developers get into the weeds they quickly lose site of user’s needs and convenience.
I’m using Remote Files app which is basically a client for many types of services (SMB, Cloud etc.). The nice part is that it has an embedded player.
I’m using 9Cloud app which plays music from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive…It’s such a dope app ’cause it has an user-friendly graphical interface. I’m really fancy of it.
