Limited in numbers and still in the active development stage, AR apps show a lot of promise to be the future of apps. So, how can you use the AR apps available today to make your life better? Even if I said there are ‘limited AR apps available’ there are many to consider.

Just a Line is an AR app from Google Creative Lab which is free to use. The app takes advantage of Google’s ARCore technology allowing users to draw things in AR space. The app isn’t a power-packed application but rather a simple one that lets you create or write things. Once you have written, it will stay in a 3D space until you don’t delete it or overwrite it. This is a fun-loving AR app that uses the AR capabilities of your camera to draw things and that’s it. You can, of course, share the video with social media or other platforms. Although you won’t be able to download it right away.

I tried the app to draw a game of X’s and O’s and it works brilliantly and doesn’t require any expertise to use it. So, what will you use it for? The app doesn’t have any in-app purchases or even ads and it is totally free to use.

IKEA Place
