SwitchBot is good with its products that need minimal changes on your existing product, like Smart Door Lock, to convert into a smart home device. The new one on the list, SwitchBot Blind Tilt, can convert your existing Windows Blinds to smart blinds within a few minutes. And this Smart Windows Blind supports Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri Shorcuts, IFTTT, and more.
Pre-orders are now available on Kickstarter for global customers, and backers are expected to receive their products before Christmas at the earliest.

The Blind Tilt is made up of ABS with UV coating. Available in White, the Blind Tilt works perfectly with horizontal window blinds that have the twisting wand mechanism. For the best performance, your blinds should be less than 3 meters long, and the twisting wand’s diameter should be between 6.3 mm and 12mm, according to SwitchBot.
You do not require any complex or heavy tools to set it up, and it will take you just a few minutes to get it up and to run. Setting it up is easy as 1 2 3.
- Install the provided Adaptor and Coupling for the Blind Tilt.

Blind Tilt: Connectivity and Setup
Blind Tilt can be controlled and set up using the Blind Tilt app, which is available for Android, iPhone, and Apple Watch. The app is compatible with Android devices running Android 5.0 and up. iOS devices need to be running on iOS 11 or newer. As for the Apple Watch, your watch needs to be on watchOS 2.2 and above.
In order to get BlindTilt to work with voice commands and smart assistants, users will have to purchase the SwitchBot Hub. SwitchBot Hub allows you to control your Blind Tilt remotely. This is great. I hope they’ll make a version for blinds with pull strings for the tilt. I’ve been looking for an affordable option for a long time. I found one that is promising but requires a lot of setup and you’re not able to control them manually after installation.
If that solution fits inside the rail of 2” blinds, all the better.
