When you are in a new city, Google Maps comes in handy. But, Google Maps will recommend lots of restaurants which you will find difficult to choose from. If you are someone who follows a particular diet, like vegan, it becomes even harder. Still, Google Maps can save you in such cases.
Let us see how to personalize restaurant recommendations and find out the Vegan or Gluten-free restaurants using Google Maps.
Choose Your Dietary Preference in Google Maps
With the Google Maps app on your Android phone or iPhone, you can set your dietary preferences. Whether you are a vegan, vegetarian, or following a gluten-free diet, Google Maps can help you. Once you set your dietary preferences, Google Maps will recommend you the restaurants that match your diet.

- Tap the profile picture icon on the top right corner.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap “Food & Drink Preferences” under “EXPLORING PLACES.”
