When you are in a new city, Google Maps comes in handy. But, Google Maps will recommend lots of restaurants which you will find difficult to choose from. If you are someone who follows a particular diet, like vegan, it becomes even harder. Still, Google Maps can save you in such cases.

Choose Your Dietary Preference in Google Maps

With the Google Maps app on your Android phone or iPhone, you can set your dietary preferences. Whether you are a vegan, vegetarian, or following a gluten-free diet, Google Maps can help you. Once you set your dietary preferences, Google Maps will recommend you the restaurants that match your diet.

Follow the steps to set Google Maps to suggest you vegan restaurants only.

Choose Dietary Preferences in Google Maps on iPhone and Android

  1. Open the Google Maps app on your phone.
  2. Tap the profile picture icon on the top right corner.
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. Tap “Food & Drink Preferences” under “EXPLORING PLACES.”
  5. From the next window, tap “Dietary Preferences.”
  6. Select your dietary preferences.
  7. Tap the “Update Preferences” button.

Use Google Maps to Find Vegan and Gluten Free Restaurant on Any City

Other than vegan, there are different diet options available on Google Maps. That includes Alcohol-free, Gluten-free, Halal, Kosher, Vegan, and Vegetarian. You can always change the dietary preference in the same way.
