Create Google Alerts and tap show options

  1. Go to google.com/alerts from your web browser on your PC.
  2. Type the keyword you want to track the news in the text field that says “Create an alert about…
  3. Click on the “Create Alert” button to instantly create a new alert for the topic you just entered.
  4. Click on the “Show Options” menu, if you want to customize the type of news you want to get notified.

  6. If you only want news content from credible sources, choose “News” from the dropdown menu against “Source.”
  7. Choose the region and type of news you want to hear.

  1. Visit the Google Alerts web page.
  2. Enter the topic or keyword you want to track the news updates of.
  3. Click on the “Show Options” menu link.
  4. After customizing the type of google alerts delivery for your topic, click on the drop-down menu against the “Deliver to” option.
  5. Choose “RSS Feed” instead of your Gmail ID.

  13. Paste the link to the XML file created by Google Alerts.
  14. Add the RSS feed to your smartphone.

You can find the regular updates for the news topic you added to the RSS feed from Google News Alerts. If you no longer want to get the news on the topic, you can remove the RSS feed ink from your smartphone or remove the alert itself.
