Retrain Google Home to Recognize Your Voice

Is google home no more recognizing your voice? Are you getting a message from Google Home “I can’t match your voice; Please retrain voice model in Google Home App”. Based on our experience with Google Home, we found in rare occasions, Google Home has some difficulty in recognizing account owner’s voice.

When you ask some user specific commands to Google Home like “What’s my name?” or “How is the traffic to my Work,” Google may respond with the following.” This is embarrassing, I can’t match your voice, Ask me again“. The reasons may be a software glitch in the system or Google Home WiFi connectivity issue.

However, to proceed with your commands, Google Home has to recognize your voice. When you configure Google Home with your Google Account, Google home is accessing your account details and basic information like your name, location, contact details etc. When Google Home stop recognizing your voice, that means, the Home device can’t check your account details to customize answer based on your location or other details.

Before you move on to teach Google Home your voice again, please wait for a while and try again to ask Google Home “What’s my name?“. Google Home respond back your name if it can identify you, otherwise time to teach her again.

We are following this steps on the assumption that you already logged in to Google Home account and configured Google Home hardware by using the Smartphone App. We are using the screenshot from iPhone, and the Android version has the same steps to continue. Here are the steps to Retrain Google Home to recognize your voice.
